MarketPro Receives WBENC Certification

Certification from leading advocate of women owned business (Women’s Business Enterprise National Council) greatly increases market opportunity

ATLANTA, May 30, 2006 — MarketPro, the United States’ leading contract staffing agency and executive recruiter for marketing, advertising, and communications professionals, today announced that it has been certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (http://www.wbenc.org). WBENC certification serves to support the visibility of American women-owned and managed businesses and helps expand their opportunities in the marketplace. Accepted by over 700 major corporations across the country and a number of federal and government agencies, WBENC certification will help expand MarketPro’s visibility among decision makers in corporate supplier diversity and procurement.

Roz Lewis, Executive Director, Georgia Women’s Business Council (GWBC) commented, “WBENC provides a nationally recognized certification that is respected and in most cases required by major corporations who procure products and services from women-owned businesses.”

The WBENC accreditation means that a business has gone through a rigorous and stringent certification process. Many corporations today have supplier diversity goals that purchasing departments are held to on behalf of the company, thus they seek out WBENC businesses to do business with to meet and exceed these goals.

“We are looking to expand our presence beyond Atlanta to serve the marketing recruiting needs of the Fortune 500, and achieving WBENC certification is an important step in that process,” stated Melissa Van Rossum, founder and chief executive officer of MarketPro. “WBENC distinction will afford access to partnerships and business opportunities previously not available to us, and we look forward to capitalizing on these new opportunities.”
