Head of B2B Marketing Role Summary

The Head of  B2B Marketing is an integral member of the marketing team and is responsible for deepening business with the existing dealer network and expanding our network to include new dealers.  This data driven marketer is responsible for setting strategy, and implementing tools that attract and convert dealers to the company’s product offerings. Key to this role is developing and executing with their team on marketing strategies that maximize marketing ROI for our mission critical B2B marketing capability.

Strategically, this individual needs to develop the vision to take B2B marketing to a new level.  By maximizing brand reach through best use of an effective multi-channel strategy.  Ability to be a marketing innovator who maximizes and integrates online and offline efforts.  Analytical skills are critical to make key adjustments to continually optimize performance. Understanding requirements of the dealer network is key to achieving success.

Additionally, this B2B marketing leader is a subject matter expert in multi-channel B2B marketing best practices, and possesses the leadership skills needed to lead, grow their team and lead an internal agency team in developing strategies for this audience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Establish a multi-year B2B marketing strategy and road map to deepen relationships with existing customers and engage, nurture potential new customers.
  • Setting strategy, measuring results and continually optimize/improve marketing investments.
  • Understand dynamics of different marketing channels and create a plan to maximize the right channel at the right time to maximize marketing ROI.
  • Ability to analyze results and attribute leads, sales, growth to marketing investment.
  • Responsible for deepening business with existing customers while driving conversion of new enrollments.
  • Manage the development and implementation of B2B cross-channel prospect marketing and lead generation activities.
  • Manage cross-sell multi-channel campaigns targeting existing business customers to increase utilization.
  • Utilize data and analytics to review and improve targeting methods, offers, and messaging based on results and learnings.
  • integrate digital marketing with the sales force so that we’re operating an integrated offline/online marketing ecosystem.
  • Develop, implement, & continually improve business customer treatment strategies with a focus on maximizing relationships with a customer-centric approach that supports profitability.
  • Guide and support goal setting and measurement for B2B campaigns.
  • Provide valuable trends and actionable insights to dealer network to help drive sales productivity as it relates to B2B marketing campaigns.
  • Work closely with cross-functional team members to reach key goals and objectives.
  • Regularly interact with key leaders to strategize the best approach for customer growth.
  • Lead external agencies in support of roadmap and vision.
  • Utilize data to grow data set for better long-term decision making.
  • Provide scalable platforms for future growth.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accessibility parameters.

Job Qualifications and Experience

  • 10+ years of demonstrated success in building and executing marketing initiatives in B2B / B2B2C environment.
  • Experienced leader with a proven track record of delivering B2B marketing initiatives that scale.
  • Data driven decision maker with a bias for analysis and designing marketing metrics to determine overall marketing effectiveness.
  • Self-motivated team player who is accountable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and people management skills.
  • Deep understanding of multi-channel B2B marketing.
  • Fluent in the economics of our business to understand where marketing creates leverage to drive growth
  • Can synthesize insights to identify new recommendations to improve marketing and business results
  • Experience developing an efficient and effective end-to-end funnel journey
  • Fluent in MarTech with a clear understanding of what capabilities can enable growth
  • Confident with interpreting analysis and structuring analytical requests
  • Hypothesis-led and data-driven in all marketing intent
  • Can break a strategy down into a structured testing plan/learning agenda
  • Can break a strategy down into an actionable plan that accelerates speed to market
  • Highly effective communicator who makes complex ideas easy to understand
  • Self-driven, motivated to help, and able to perform with minimal supervision in a team environment.
  • Thrives on the opportunity to lead and build in white space, collaborate, and drive for results
  • Is able to structure and sequence highly complex work
  • Is able to create and operate in a systems level view of marketing
  • Can write and oversee the team’s delivery of clear and concise intent documents, creative briefs, test plans, driving continued performance and optimization against KPIs across channels
  • Can manage the details of their own and a cross-functional team’s multiple projects, deadlines and changing priorities, while maintaining excellent and accurate work
  • Skilled relationship-builder who can influence internal decision makers with formal recommendations and informal networking
  • Strong analytic and project management skills and performance reporting expertise.
  • Minimum of 3 years leading teams.

  • Required: BS Degree
  • Preferred: MBA
