MarketPro has partnered with a fast-growing consumer services organization in search of their next marketing leader. This EVP Marketing will have the unique challenge of establishing and building a brand that transforms this organization as a leader in its industry.

The EVP of Marketing will function as the Chief Marketing Officer. In this marketing executive search, he/she is responsible for the development, execution and outcomes of the organization’s strategic branding, marketing and public relations programs. The position provides visionary leadership to the marketing, branding, community outreach and public relations teams, as well as, overseeing member experience feedback program.  The EVP of Marketing serves as part of an innovative and collaborative senior management team that reports directly to the President and CEO.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide thought leadership and strategic direction to the organization’s internal and external marketing, branding and public relations team
  • Develop a highly skilled and motivated team of marketing, branding and public relations leaders
  • Propose innovative ideas and strategies during long and short-term strategic planning process
  • Work directly with business unit leadership to develop a branding and marketing strategy that supports the growth and revenue goals of each business unit
  • Provide leadership and direction during the preparation, implementation, and expenditure of the organization’s annual branding, marketing, and community relations budgets
  • Envision and implement innovative marketing and public relations concepts and strategies
  • Ensure that metrics are established and tracked to evaluate program results
  • Update or tweak tactics as appropriate to ensure maximum effectiveness and return on investment
  • Analyze market trends and demographic data concerning members and potential members, products and services, and potential products and services
  • Keep abreast of changing trends in the marketplace so that the brand may react quickly and competitively
  • Research and recommend product or service enhancements, as well as, new services and changes in existing services, to provide exceptional member service and to meet the financial needs of members
  • Ensure effective and efficient branding and marketing strategies across all channels, with an emphasis on maturing digital marketing initiatives
  • Responsible for maintaining and building upon existing branding, and/or create new branding as appropriate for the organization
  • Ensure that all marketing and public relations materials comply with state and federal rules and regulations for the organization
  • Keep abreast in changing rules and regulations
  • Develop, apply, and evaluate policies and procedures for the department
  • Represent the brand at public events as needed
  • Serve as spokesperson for the organization on all matters relating with the press
  • Maintain continuous professional education and networking
  • Perform all duties and maintain all sensitive data with the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Consistently display respect for all areas of diversity and levels of knowledge
  • Maintain programs and systems to ensure effective internal communication throughout the organization

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business-related field. MBA or other post graduate education is preferred
  • Seven (7) years minimum experience in marketing and/or brand management is required
  • The demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a high caliber team of professionals
  • Experience with eCommerce, online marketing, digital advertising and search engine optimization is desired
  • Comprehensive knowledge of graphic design and business software is preferred. Knowledge of Windows computer operation and software required
  • The ability to draft and edit highly creative and descriptive copy in a variety of journalistic styles (credit union communications, public relations, marketing, advertising, journalistic) to achieve all marketing objectives in support of credit union staff and goals
  • A proficiency in grammar, punctuation, spelling, proofreading, vocabulary and research skills
  • Have the ability to learn new software programs and become proficient independent of formal training
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex tasks
  • Ability to supervise and motivate staff and work well in a team environment
