MarketPro has partnered with a fast growing consumer brand in Atlanta is in search of a Manager of Social Media and Content Marketing. The Manager, Social Media and Content Marketing will be responsible for building and driving social media, content marketing and SEO strategies to educate and inspire guests to transact and interact with the brand.

This marketing staffing position will be focused on engaging consumers through timely, relevant, and compelling digital/social communications that build brand affinity and drive sales. Reporting to the Director, Interactive Marketing, CRM and Loyalty, this role’s primary function is to build positive, long-term and meaningful relationships by making emotional connections with our guests to drive action – socially and financially.

Responsibilities:

Social Media

  • Develops comprehensive social media strategies and objectives; focusing on optimizing key social media platforms, including but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, Google +, Snapchat, and blogger sites
  • Oversees day-to-day activities across all social media platforms, including monitoring, listening, and tracking activity using social media monitoring and listening tools
  • Uses social media analytics and insights to continuously improve engagement
  • Executes and monitors campaigns to grow audiences, followers, engagement and brand awareness across various social media platforms
  • Plans and manages influencer marketing campaigns and blogger outreach
  • Acts as community manager across all platforms, promoting positive brand conversations and addresses consumer inquiries
  • Works closely with IT and customer service to manage customer complaints and issues
  • Provides updates to marketing leadership and partners; escalates potential issues or opportunities as needed
  • Provides social media support and amplification for any PR initiative and events as needed
  • Develops and implements mechanisms to rally and enable external vendors and franchisees to contribute to national social media efforts and programs
  • Maintains ongoing knowledge of the ever-changing social media landscape – monitoring trends, developing best practices and exploring / testing new capabilities
  • Recognizes, assesses, and recommends new social media technologies, vendors, or partners
  • Builds best practices, processes and guidelines for Franchisees that improve content and engagement
  • Develops governance for third party agencies in a franchised environment
  • Works with franchisees to support local social media efforts
  • Conducts research and competitive analysis
  • Documents all social media initiatives and presents results and insights by channel with actionable next steps on an ongoing basis
  • Helps define key metrics and measurements of success and proactively monitors for effective and efficient delivery/ROI
  • Partners with creative team and external vendors to create the brand’s social tone of voice
  • Reacts to and leverages pop culture and viral opportunities
  • Integrates with the company’s crisis communication process

Content Marketing

  • Conceives, researches, plans and develops content strategies to educate and inspire customers to drive action
  • Partners with internal and external resources to identify and curate compelling stories and content for social media platforms, websites, emails, blogs, etc.
  • Manages and incorporates user-generated content across the various social media channels – including reviews, comments, posts, photos, etc.
  • Develops editorial calendar and creative briefs, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Oversees a content matrix for all content assets within digital platforms; creatively repackages existing content, and develops new content focused on engagement and conversion metrics
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts to produce content that tell stories, educate, and invite engagement on our various platforms
  • Conceptualizes and works with internal teams and third-party vendors to develop and deliver high quality digital content including, but not limited to, images, videos, infographics, infovideos, GIFs, Instagram stories, blog posts, social media posts, articles, e-books, website pages, etc.
  • Plans, curates, and manages library of stock imagery, in-house assets and videos for use in all social channels, ads and websites
  • Sets KPIs, analyzes and reports on content performance across all distribution channels
  • Oversees SEO strategy for website, e-commerce and content
  • Maintains strong knowledge of the industry best practices to continually deliver engaging content and results
  • Manages the brand’s digital footprint, ensuring location-specific content is accurate and distributed across all third-party channels

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism, or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience and demonstrated track record executing social media and content marketing campaigns across multiple platforms to build awareness, engage new and existing customers and increase conversions via websites and mobile apps
  • Experience in hospitality, retail, or restaurants is preferred
  • Proven aptitude for developing and executing content and influencer marketing strategies
  • Inspirational energy, excitement and passion for all things social
  • Power user of social media communities and tools with a strong passion for all things digital and a solid understanding of how to increase a brand’s visibility, influence, and interaction
  • Technically proficient with proven experience leading the social execution including the management of multiple social platforms
  • Proven ability to write smart, creative and high-quality brand content and copy for all digital channels
  • Editorial mindset and demonstrated experience in planning and managing editorial calendars that track to organization KPI’s
  • Impressive analytic skills for measuring and monitoring performance
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Intermediate to advanced Adobe Photoshop skills
  • Experience with InDesign, or other design software, a plus
  • HTML and CMS experience (WordPress), a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in creating videos (Facebook Live, Instagram Stories, and HD micro-videos for social media and blogs)
  • Light video editing, photography and photo editing experience for social media and blogs
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and direction
  • Experience using Google Analytics and Social Media analytics and tracking
  • Strong organizational, project management and attention to detail skills and the ability to juggle multiple on-going projects simultaneously at various stages of the creative process
  • Experience managing and working with internal and external agencies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an appreciation of and attention to details
  • Strong interpersonal, written, communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-starter; able to clarify ambiguity and create solutions in a fast-paced organization
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and build working relationships through collaboration, influence and negotiation to successfully accomplish a task
  • Experience with blogger outreach, influencer marketing and user generated content
