MarketPro is seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager in Boston, MA who will serve as the primary manager for promotion and promotion needs for our Client. This marketing staffing position reports directly to the Vice President and will oversee the planning and execution of successful marketing campaigns. • Serve as the brand steward to preserve the integrity of the Client’s brands throughout the portfolio
• You will ensure the consistency of Client’s branding and messaging by working in conjunction with other departments on campus such as the offices of Digital Strategy, Communications, Marketing, Editorial Services, and Media Relations. Develop and maintain branding toolkits for all area programming components
• Collaborate with public relations and marketing representatives at partner organizations to create visibility for Client through the use of press releases and the Client brand
• Support related initiatives by collaborating with appropriate partners to strategize and implement marketing and communications efforts
• Manage internal and external relationships
• Manage the department’s relationships and contracts with independent contractors, consultants, and external vendors such as web developers, publicists, video production companies, photographers, etc.
• You will oversee procurement of these vendors dependent on project parameters, and will actively solicit a diverse group of vendors to meet the needs of the department
• Serve as Client’s primary point of contact with the Office of Media Relations and contracted PR firms to develop press strategies and increase the visibility of the program in the media
• Work with the Client team to develop and implement project-based communications strategies using a combination of: online resources such as departmental websites, social media, blogs, e-newsletters, and webinars; printed marketing collateral; and outreach to partner organizations and the local community
• Responsible for the department’s web presence on Client website and content management. You will facilitate the department’s interest in the design of new sites and maintenance of existing sites, including the creation of editorial and multimedia content
• Oversee the department’s social media accounts – including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and SnapChat – to ensure the work of Client Network etc. is showcased effectively and accurately. Represent Client on the Social Media Committee
• Oversee the development, production, and distribution of project-based videos as needed, including the annual fundraising pitch
• Provide editorial oversight and production management – including design, development, and distribution – for all Client print and digital marketing collateral, ensuring their quality and consistency
• Assist in the planning and execution of the annual Client Summit by serving as the marketing lead and acting as a core member of the event operations team


• Bachelor degree required
• Minimum of 4 years project management experience and the ability to manage production teams
• Strong competency in video production, digital still photography, and proficiency in using video and still photography equipment
• Strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with all levels of college and external community
• Strong command of written and spoken English
• Strong ability to edit and produce written documents in English
• Bilingual Spanish-English a plus
• Excellent computer and editing skills (i.e. Photoshop, Finalcut Pro, MS Word, Excel, FileMaker, KeyNote, and Macintosh operating system)
• Proven track record managing and developing budgets
• Proven track record in event planning and production
• Ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects
• Excellent analytical, creative, and organizational skills. Ability to focus on details
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong familiarity with today’s music styles, leading musical figures, and basic structure/organization of the music industry
• Ability to discern the confidential nature of all matters under consideration
