Digital Content Manager, B2C - Atlanta marketing Staffing Firm

MarketPro has partnered with a national consumer brand in a marketing staffing search to locate their next Digital Content Manager. Based out of Atlanta, you will report to the Director of Marketing. The Digital Content Manager is accountable for the overall quality of the content that is published on our client’s digital properties, including making recommendations and improvements with the use of data and analytics.

The Digital Content Manager will primarily be responsible for maintaining Web Administration (Asset) Management system, coordinating & developing content for all digital channels, and enabling field web content creators to be successful at developing & maintaining excellent website content. This role works closely with the Web Manager to ensure the digital channels maintain the most relevant and valuable content; and will act as proxy for the Web Manager as needed. The Digital Content Manager will also work closely with business stakeholders, IT and division web content creators.


  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams, third-party vendors and agencies (if needed) to establish, maintain and socialize web content standards and best practices
  • You will also work closely with business stakeholders, IT and division web content creators
  • Perform and manage ongoing website audits & aggregator site audits for quality assurance and to ensure all web content meets established content and branding standards
  • Responsible for providing reporting, analysis and improvement recommendations post audit
  • Act as product owner (super-user) of web administration tool and drives the ongoing strategy of the tool (in partnership w/Web Manager), including maintaining requirements/documentation, troubleshooting, testing, and overall impact to the customer/user experience
  • Contribute to the product roadmap and participate in prioritization of product backlog items in an agile environment
  • Supports field content creators through ongoing training & enablement, content creation and review (as needed), and applicable workflow approvals
  • Develop and maintain content including but not limited to website articles/messaging, website content, video, Google/Apple/Bing listings and other digital assets
  • Evaluate site feedback and site performance data to assess content performance; develop plans/strategy to optimize and improve performance
  • Create and maintain competitive analysis report, research content ideas and identify new content opportunities (incl. trending topics) with the intent to develop plans/strategy to optimize and  improve performance of content on an ongoing basis
  • Establish and maintain a system for the Company to track, maintain and house all images, photography, renderings, video, audio, offers, news and any related web content documentation
  • Assist with other marketing duties as required
  • Enhance and execute the SEO strategy (including maintaining key words, tagging, and file naming, meta data implementation, etc…)
  • Provide web & digital support and project management as needed, including testing during monthly website deployments & all web/digital projects


  • Minimum Bachelors in Marketing, Communications, Business or related fields
  • 3-5 years related experience in developing and managing digital/web content
  • Proficiency with information architecture, design and usability
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of digital content best practices, including SEO , usability, and user experience
  • Familiarity with CSS and HTML desired, but this is not a coding role
  • A keen awareness of current industry trends in digital content marketing & strategy and a drive to explore new methods
  • Experience with Digital Asset Management systems and Content Management Systems a plus
  • Experience with Photoshop or photo editing applications preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency
  • Performance driven and results oriented; takes initiative and demonstrates follow through
  • Detail-oriented, with strong planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; superior knowledge of editorial mechanics such as grammar and punctuation, creativity, and ear for tone and nuance are key to articulating  messaging
  • Good eye for layout and aesthetics
  • Strong editor, understanding of web publishing and web marketing and/or experience in marketing with a strong online focus.
  • Ability to document clear requirements and specifications for development
