MarketPro has partnered with the established leader in the academic learning industry in northern Atlanta, GA for the marketing recruitment of a Social Media Strategist. MarketPro is seeking a Social Media Manager to join our client’s team in Acworth. The Social Media Strategist will serve the important role of implementing the assigned social strategy and managing our client’s social presence across multiple channels. This role will be responsible for working within the digital marketing team to implement and execute established social media and blog strategies. In partnership with our client’s agencies, they will be responsible for growing our client’s followers, engaging them, and creating active fans as part of our client’s social community. The ideal candidate is connected with the latest social trends, understands the intricacies of each social channel (and emerging channels), and can execute large-scale social campaigns. The Social Media Strategist will report to the Director of Digital Marketing.

Responsibilities:

SOCIAL CHANNEL MANAGEMENT

  • Responsible for the implementation and daily execution of the assigned strategy in our current social channels- Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google+ and the Pointers for Parents blog and enewsletter
  • Manages and executes large-scale social programs and paid social media advertising strategies
  • Updates social guides yearly
  • Manages and responds to comments in the social space; elevates issues that arise in the community when needed; occasionally needed to monitor social channels on weekends and holidays
  • Assists with responses to online reviews, as needed
  • Works with agency to create and post branded avatars for social channels
  • Works with internal communication team to alert employees of new content and encourage employee advocacy and sharing
  • Stays up-to-date on industry trends and knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies
  • Keeps digital team abreast of social media technology and trend developments
  • Works digital tickets/help requests that are social media-related
  • Leads Franchise Management Training activities (training development and delivery) for social media initiatives
  • Supports strategic planning for social media activities along with year-round budget management

CONTENT MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT

  • Works with agency partners and internal departments such as education and operations to execute and manage digitally published content (short-form video, copy and creative, etc.) through the editorial calendar according to brand standards
  • Coordinates, schedules and runs quarterly content planning meetings with the Director of Digital Marketing
  • Maintains and updates business listings for all facilities in multiple online directories

REPORTING

  • Understands social media metrics and is able to review social media dashboards and look for areas of opportunity
  • Reports on amplification of company initiatives (PR, Franchise, etc.) in social channels
  • Pulls ad hoc social media reports as necessary
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience in Marketing, Advertising or PR/Communications with a minimum of 2 years working specifically in social media
  • Strong communication, writing, project management, analytical and presentation skills
  • Must be a team-player – ability to maintain productive relationships with franchise owners, co-workers and agency partners
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and proven track record of managing multiple deadline-driven projects with completion on time, on brand and on budget; willing to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Communications, PR/Communications or Marketing preferred
  • Strong leadership skills and positive customer service spirit; resourceful and effective problem solver
  • Experience in a franchised-brand a plus
