We are executing a digital marketing executive search for an excellent client based in Nashville. The Director of Digital Marketing is responsible for transforming this casual dining brand’s current customer experiences by leveraging all forms of digital media inclusive of but not limited to SEO, SEM, email, social, website management and re-marketing. This role will help define, plan and execute programs that drive customer engagement and affinity while dramatically improving customer experiences and disrupt the current casual dining industry.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Mobile app and website marketing development – including hosting, design and functionality.
  • Managing multiple day to day agency and vendor relationships including those supporting email/text programs, social, and digital activations.
  • Integrating interactive marketing initiatives into the marketing promotional calendar.
  • Responsible for leading research, strategy and implementation of emerging forms of digital media.
  • Provide innovative approaches to platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest and other similar platforms.
  • Leverage interactive platforms to communicate brand story.
  • Understand current trends, technologies and advancements in the interactive digital space.
  • Establish a consistent measurement system of evaluation for all interactive marketing programs and report back on successes/best practices.
  • Establish a cycle plan of mature, emerging and developed forms of media communications.
  • Determine unique advantages of new media formats and potential to enhance marketing.
  • Oversee production and implementation of emerging media campaigns.
  • Establish success metrics for reaching customers.
  • Extend editorial content into relevant external publications (forums, new sites, blogs, etc.).
  • Ensure alignment with established forms of digital communications and traditional media communications.
  • Perform all other job related duties as requested.
  • Create, curate and publish content across all social media platforms including the client’s blog and identify social media platform expansions when necessary.
  • Maintain an editorial calendar to effectively manage consistency and frequency of messaging across all digital mediums (email, social, website).
  • Ensure themes and content utilized on social media are aligned with strategic goals and enhance the customers’ relationship with the brand.
  • Willingness to monitor social accounts outside of “typical office hours” and flexibility to step in and interact as needed during these times.
  • Lead agency in the strategic and creative development of digital marketing campaigns inclusive of re-marketing campaigns.
  • Lead all creative and content for website and app ensuring best in class experiences.
  • Create and report on digital KPIs identifying opportunities for improvement using analytical tools to develop, track and measure online marketing campaigns.
  • Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, Google+Local, YouTube, Instagram, Foursquare, Vine and Pinterest, etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
  • Experience with demand generating digital promotions, robust email marketing programs and standard marketing KPIs are pluses.
  • Understanding of website hosting, content development across both desktop and mobile applications along with app development and deployment.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research.

Qualified individuals will possess the following attributes:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related field; Master’s Degree a plus.
  • 10+ years of digital marketing and/or general management work experience
  • Minimum five (5) years QSR, casual dining, hospitality, retail experience is a must!!!
  • Technical skills include knowledge of HTML, CSS, blogging platforms like WordPress; more advanced programming languages as needed.
  • Has worked on a business that is global with direct responsibility on a global project.
  • Knowledge of analytics tools such as WebTrends and Google Analytics required.
  • Understanding of Internet technologies and e-marketing tactics and strategies.
  • Affiliate marketing managerial skills.
  • Corporate social media expertise.
  • Excellent understanding of web metrics/data reporting practices.
  • Solid experience reporting e-marketing ROI.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Up to 20% travel required.
  • Strong project management skills.
