MarketPro is partnering with a leading education brand in Pittsburgh, PA in search of an interim Vice President of Marketing to join their executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the COO, the incumbent will be responsible for providing leadership and management of our client’s marketing organization, which includes: brand positioning, target identification, marketing strategy, cross channel resource and performance planning, acquisition and conversion, agency partner management, collateral materials, regulatory compliance, product marketing, prospect and customer segmentation and life-cycle engagement. The interim VP, Marketing will also drive efforts to position our client as a visionary leader in the marketplace and achieve its full potential.
Coordinate all student acquisition marketing activities, spanning from inquiry generation to prospect conversion marketing, culminating in new student starts.
Establish a viable and relevant brand positioning for the brand. Ensure that all content supports the position in an integrated fashion.
Effectively interact with teams at a macro and local level to support new student targeted acquisitions.
Ensure that the company is organized and supported by a talented mix of internal employee and external agency support personnel.
Track performance, efficiency and return of all engagement activities. Track progress of projects and insure key deadlines and budget objectives are achieved.
Act as primary liaison between marketing other departments.
Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Marketing or related field; MBA highly preferred.
Minimum of 15 years Advertising/Marketing business experience. Specifically, must have proven account or brand management, developing and executing integrated marketing plans with a heavy emphasis on direct customer engagement marketing
Solid experience utilizing integrated marketing (direct, database, interactive, TV, print, PR, etc.)
Experience in publicly traded growth company with multiple products/services a plus.
Understanding of for-profit post-secondary education market a plus.
Strong stakeholder communication skills, both oral and written.
Numerically savvy, comfortable with calculating, monitoring and reporting on marketing spend effectiveness on a weekly and as needed basis.
Ability to make significant progress independently.
Ability to multi-task and have customer service oriented demeanor.
Ability to understand and target different customer and influencer segments.
Ability to work well in a team environment and the ability to lead and motivate direct and non-direct reports.
